一足早い！ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクト～はあとポート～

江戸川区児童相談所（はあとポート）で施設の管理をしている株式会社ネットのスタッフのみなさんと「ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクト」←（詳細はこちらをクリック）の一環で、児童相談所の玄関前のプランターにひまわりを植え、はあとポートを訪れる皆さんを歓迎しました。

今回植えたひまわりの種類は、「サンビリーバブル」のレモンガールと言う名の明るい色のひまわり！

実際にひまわりを花壇に植えている様子をご紹介します。

At a Child Guidance Center named "Heart Port", the staff planted sunflowers as the "Sunflower project for vigor and smiles" organized by Edogawa Environment Foundation.

The flowers named "Lemon Girl" a kind of sunflower "Sunbiliebable"!!

実際に植える時のポイントは、植え替えの花を土に入れて上から手で押し固めます。しっかり押さえると水を与えた時に浮いてきません。

水やりは、土が乾いたら底から流れ出るくらい、たっぷりと！

One of the technique for planting is pushing the soil enough so that the plant will not flow up as watering.

これから綺麗なひまわりの花が次々と咲いてゆく様子を観るのも、楽しみですね（^^）

そっくりなボタンとシャクヤク Peony

新緑が目に鮮やかに映える５月は、公園やお庭で美しい大輪の花を咲かせるボタン（牡丹）とシャクヤク（芍薬）の季節です。

さて、このふたつの花はとても似ていますね。そこで・・・・

その違いを調べてみました。

May is a season of that new greens are brightening so mush. It's also the season of that Tree peonies & Chinese peonies are full blooming. The two kinds of peonies are look very similar so just looked ater the differens between two of them..... 

こちらはボタン！　4月頃から咲き、高さは１~2mほどの落葉低木です。

This is Tree peony! Start blooming in April. It's a kind of 1～2m heights tree.

 こちらはシャクヤク！　5月頃から咲き、高さ約50cmほどの多年草です。

This is Chinese peony. The blooming season is in May. It's a kind of grass about 50cm heights.

【ボタンとシャクヤク、その違いは？】There are some differences.....

 大きな違いは木と草  Tree or Grass....

ボタンは幹が濃い茶色になっていて木だということがわかります。

シャクヤクは草なので濃い緑色の茎です。

The Tree peony(left photo) is tree so that the stem is brown color.....

The Chinese peony(right photo) is grass because it has green color stem.

葉っぱが違う    Leaves....

ボタンの葉は艶が無くギザギザとした切込みが入っています。

The Tree peony leaf has not straight edge shape.

シャクヤクの葉は艶があり、長細く切込みは入っていません。

The Chinese peony leaf has brightening green color and straight edge.

花の違いは？  about flower....

ボタンはで散るときに一枚一枚花びらで落ちます。

When the Tree peony flower fall down, every petal comes down one by one....

 シャクヤクは、散るときに花の頭ごと落ちます。

The Chinese peony flower falls down as just the flower....

新堀しゃくやく公園（江戸川区新堀2丁目29番8号）

Niihori-shakuyaku koen park (2-29-8 Niihori Edogawa-ku)

５月に入り、こちらの公園ではシャクヤクが美しく咲いています。

シャクヤクは平安時代から薬草としても親しまれたそうで、園芸用としても人気のお花。その大輪はでとてもエレガントな印象を受けますね。

ボタンは４月中旬が開花のピークでした。

今は満開の美しいシャクヤクをお楽しみください♪

Chinese peony has a long history from the Heian period as a kind of medicine or best flower for gardening. At this park the may is the best timing to look at full blooming peonies. It's not the best timing for the Tree peonies but let's enjoy the Chinese peonies♪
