ボランティア活動休止期間延長のお知らせ

日頃より、えどがわ環境財団の活動にボランティア「花とみどりの応援団」として参加していただき、ありがとうございます。

この夏、異常な暑さによる熱中症予防のため、９月末まで活動を休止といたします。

休止期間：7月8日（月）から9月末

休止する活動：鹿骨第一花工房、第二花工房、平井わかばと花工房での活動

皆様におかれましても、ご自愛頂き、この夏を元気に安全に乗り越えましょう。

平井駅でひまわりが満開です♪

まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、

ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクトのひまわりが生き生きと咲いています。このひまわり（サンフィニティ）は、小ぶりで可愛いらしい花が次から次へと咲いて100輪咲きと言われるほど沢山の花を咲かせます。

約３カ月ほど咲き続けるそうなので、長くお花を楽しめますよ♪

It’s been in the hot summer.

Under the sunshine, these sunflowers for the event “Sunflowers project for the vigor & smiles” are blooming very well. The sunflowers have a specific feature of blooming small size flowers next to next.

They are said that blooming for about 3 months so we can enjoy the beautiful blooming so long.

ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクト

に参加している小松川信用金庫の皆さんがひまわりのお世話をしています。

 At the Hirai station, the staff of Komatsugawa shinkin are taking care of sunflowers for the project.

ひまわりで夏の平井の街を盛り上げていますよ♪

 They are cheering up the Hirai town in summer.

こまめに花がら摘みをして、更に元気なひまわりの開花を促します。

キレイなひまわりが継続して咲いているのは、こんなサポートがあるからですね！ご協力、ありがとうございます。

The staff are doing cutting off the old flowers to make new blooming.

This is why all plants can continue blooming so long, isn’t this? We want to send appreciation to the staff.

よくみると花がらには約50個を超える種が・・・

因みに皆さんがよく知っている背の高い大きなひまわりは、

約2000個前後の種ができます。

Please look at the old flowers carefully and you would find over 50 seeds on it.

Another type of tall sunflower people knows well may make over 2,000 seeds.

ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクトのひまわりは一輪の花もちがよいひまわりです。力強いですね♪

The sunflower for the project is the ones we can enjoy many beautiful flowers so long. It seems to be so powerful, isn’t it?

【お花のパーツについて】

 8月19日　撮影のひまわり

私たちが知っているひまわりやガーベラなど多くの花は筒状花（つつじょうか）や舌状花（ぜつじょうか）で構成されています。

筒状花（つつじょうか）＋舌状花（ぜつじょうか）＝頭状花（とうじょうか）

※頭状花とはお花全体の事です。

ひまわりも、中央に見える茶色の筒状のものを筒状花（つつじょうか）といい、ひとつひとつがお花です。

私たちが花びらと呼んでいる部分もひとつひとつが舌状花（ぜつじょうか）と言われているお花です。

つまり多くの小さな花が集まっていて、その花（例えばひまわり）全体（頭状花（とうじょうか））を形成しています。　

あまり知られていない、秘密のような・・・

興味深いですね！

そんなひまわりの秘密？！

知ると見方が変わって面白いですね♪

By the way, sunflowers, gerberas and many kinds of flowers have some parts making up the flower shape as you can see on the picture. The ones are a minimum strow type flowers gather on the middle of flower. Another ones are petals surround the flower.

So it can be said that….. flowers + flowers = the flower!!

It’s interesting, isn’t it?

新川さくら館やコミュニティ会館のひまわりが満開です

今、ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクトのひまわりが満開です。

ひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクトのひまわり（サンフィニティ）は、小ぶりで可愛いらしい花が次から次へと咲いて100輪咲きと言われるほど沢山の花を咲かせます。

秋まで咲き続けるので、長くお花を楽しめますよ♪

今回は、ひまわりのお手入れ方法と新川さくら館やコミュニティ会館など、12か所のひまわりをご紹介します。

The Sunflowers for the event "Sunflowers project for vigor and smiles" is full blooming now. This sunflower called "Sunfinity" makes so many flowers on a plant. We can enjoy the blooming untul autum. Please see the sunflowers at 12 cultural facilities in Edogawa City.

【ひまわり（サンフィニティ）のお手入れの方法】How to take care

１日１回 たっぷりと水を与えましょう。

目安は少し経ったら鉢底から水が流れ出るくらいです。

咲き終わった花がらは、カットしましょう。（次の蕾を残して）

脇につぼみが出ているときもあるのでご注意を！

咲き終わった花をこまめに摘むことで、たくさんの花が楽しめます。

Water enough every day.   Cut the flower after flowers fall down.  Then new flowers bloom next to next.

サルスベリが街に彩りを加えています♪

今、街路樹や公園でサルスベリが見ごろです！

Now, It’s in the best season for crape myrtles full blooming in town and parks.

中国南部の暑い地方が原産のサルスベリ

日本には※江戸時代以前に渡来したといわれ、※諸説あります

庭園に古くから植えられてきました。

この夏の強い日差しをあびて、鮮やかに咲いています。

Crape myrtles is basically from worm south region in China. It’s said that crape myrtles came into Japan at around before Edo period then it had been planted at Japanese style gardens.

Now, It’s been blooming under the strong sunshine of summer.

木の肌がすべすべしていて、サルも滑り落ちるというところから「猿滑」（さるすべり）実際に猿が滑って落ちたところは見た事ないですが、名前の付け方もユニークですね♪                                                                                                                           

The Japanese name of crape myrtles “Sarusuberi” is unique that “Saru” is monkeys and “suberi” is slip so according to the tree skin, people would thought Monkeys would not be able to climb up.

またもうひとつ夏から秋まで長く咲き続けるので百日紅（ヒャクジツコウ）の別名もあります。約100日間に渡って、ピンクや白色の花を咲かせることに由来しています。

実際にはひとつの花は数日で終わりますが、次から次へと花が咲きこの満開のサルスベリが生まれています。

The Japanese name of crape myrtles “Sarusuberi” is unique that “Saru” is monkeys and “suberi” is slip so according to the tree skin, people would thought Monkeys would not be able to climb up.

青空とピンクのお花が色鮮やかです♪

小松川区民館から荒川の土手へ向かう逆井庚申塚通りのサルスベリ

炎天下でも生き生きと咲き誇るサルスベリ♪

【新堀しゃくやく公園】

今、新堀しゃくやく公園でもサルスベリが見ごろです！華やかに咲いています。

At the Shakuyaku-koen park in Niihori town.

ピンクや薄紫や白のサルスベリの木々がカラフルに並んでいます。

セミの声が響き、鮮やかなサルスベリが夏らしいです。

そんなサルスベリですが、アップにしてよくお花を見るとがくは6枚、花弁も6枚です。茎のような花柄があり、その先にまるでフリルの様な縮れた花びらがついていてとてもおしゃれですね。真ん中に雌しべ（めしべ）と雄しべ（おしべ）がありますが、さらにその周りに6本の長い雄しべがあるのがわかります。変わったカタチをしているので、じーっと観察するのも面白いかもしれません。

 When we focus on a flower, we can see the unique shape of pollen tubes, stamens, etc. It would be interesting looking at every flower carefully, isn’t it?

白いサルスベリはボリュームも満点。

花びらは風にゆれて雪のように降ってきました。

ショッキングピンクのサルスベリも青空に映えます。

この通りの両側の街路樹はすべてサルスベリです。

ひと際目立つピンク紫の絶妙な色合いのサルスベリ。

近づいて撮ってみます。

伸びた枝が風に揺れ、ピンク紫の花がアクセントになっていて街並みに彩りを加えていますね♪

お散歩やドライブや際に、お近くの街路樹や公園の鮮やかなサルスベリを愛でてみては♪厳しい暑さが続きますが、皆さん熱中症に気をつけてお出かけしてくださいね（^^）/

文化施設のひまわりが満開です

猛暑日が続いてますが、鮮やかな黄色のひまわりが夏を盛り上げています。

このひまわりは本当に元気！強い太陽のもとで次から次へと花をつけます。

黄色は明るい色なのでひと際目立ちますね♪

 The beautiful sunflowers are cheering us in this super-hot summer!!

These sunflowers are really powerful and bloom flowers next to next under the summer sunshine. The light-yellow color is easy to find, isn’t it?

 ポニーランドや区民館など、5か所のひまわりをご紹介します。

共育プラザは中高生が自由に活動するところ。ここのひまわりは中高生がお世話をしていて元気に育っています。

 This is an activity place for teenagers named Kyoiku-Plaza.

Junior-high and high school students are taking care of these sunflowers.

小岩区民館の入口のそば！ひまわりが力強く咲いています。

 They are blooming at the entrance of the Koiwa city-hall.

 They are brilliant under the sunshine.

「…６月に定植したひまわりがかわいらしく咲いていて嬉しくなりました。

我が家のひまわりも７月20日頃咲きました。

…今朝はサンフィニティ（ひまわり）の花の隣にセミも遊びに来ていてその様子が嬉しくて思わず撮ったので、送りたいと思います」

 “I’m feeling so happy to see sunflowersI planted at the Shishibone-flower garden in Jun blooming. And also at my home, I could see sunflower blooming around at July 20^th.

I found a cicada on the flower this morning, so I felt so fine and took a picture of it.”
