太陽の花Sunflowerひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクト

もうすぐ梅雨明けになる関東ですが、ひまわりもすくすくと成長して背の高い大輪の花をさかせようとしています。

そんなひまわりですがどこまで成長するんだろう？と疑問に思って調べてみたら・・・・

ドイツの園芸家の男性が仰天の記録を出していました。

それは、なんと９ｍを超える高さのひまわりを育てギネス認定されました。

The summer is coming and tall sunflowers are growing well to make big SUNFLOWER!!

By the way, I wander how tall the tallest sunflower in the world so I found out about it then……..

A gardener in Germany made a surprisingly record before…

The one was 9M heights and registered as the Guinness record.

世界一のひまわりは※人間と比べたらこんな感じなんでしょうか？

 Compared the tallest sunflower and human(^^)

そんな背の高いひまわりが世界には存在しますが、私たちのひまわりde元気と笑顔プロジェクトのひまわりは「サンフィニティ」という品種でプランターで約1ｍ前後の高さになり、真夏の太陽の恵みをふんだんに受けてたくさんの花が開花するひまわりです。

Our sunflowers for the “Sunflowers Project for Viger and Smiles 2024” is kinds of ones become around 1M height and make so many flowers.

At around Funabori station.

また、ひまわりは規則正しい不思議なところがあります。

それは開花したら東を向いているって言う事です。

Sunflowers have a specific behavior of that they face to east direction after the bloomed.

まだ開花してない若い葉のひまわりは東から西に動く太陽を追いかける性質を持っていて、夕方は西向きで、翌朝になるまでの間に東に向きを変えて日の出を待ちます。

On the other hand, before they bloomed, the flowers follow the sun so the face moves from east to west. Then they wait for the tomorrow’s sunshine as faced to east.

ひまわりは太陽の動きを知っている？？と言う事になりますね。

「ひ（太陽）まわり（回り）」と言う語源にも納得です。※諸説あります。

 It means the sunflowers already know where the sun is, doesn’t it?

そして、開花したひまわりは、みんな東向きに同じ方向を向きます。（茎は固くなります）

英語の名前はSunflower（太陽の花）ですから太陽と密接な関わりがありそうですね。

 All sunflowers already bloomed are facing to the same east direction. The name “Sunflower” would meant the close relation between the sun and flower.

そんなサンフラワーですが、江戸川区の平井駅や船堀駅などで観ることが出来ます。満開はもうすぐ、是非元気なひまわりの様子をご覧くださいね（^^）/
